FSSAI to introduce front-of-pack labelling to reduce burden of non-communicable diseases

Lenin Raghuvanshi, founder and CEO of, People’s Vigilance Committee on Human Rights has launched a campaign called PIPAL (People’s Initiative for Participatory Action on food Labelling) to make consumers more aware of the dangers of packaged foods. “We aim to make every consumer aware of what does their packet have and then they decide if it’s good for them. For the profit of companies, the consumer should not risk their lives,” Raghuvanshi said.
